About Us:  

The Department of Urdu started functioning in September 2004, with M.A. Urdu as its first regular program.  Las year it has introduced M.Phil and Ph.D. programs along with few other PG Diploma courses.

2.       Presented a paper on “Maulana Zafar Ali Khan ki Inqilab Sahafat” in the 3 day Intern National Seminar on Jiddo Jaede Azadi Aur Urdu organized by Maulana Azad National Urdu Universityfrom 11th – 13th March 2007.

3.       Presented a paper on “Deccani Zabano Adab ki Ahmiyat” in the 2 day National Seminar entitled “Moujuda Zamane Mein Urdu Zabano Adab ki Ahmiyat Aur Ifadiyat” organized byTamil Nadu Urdu Academy from 28th – 29th February 2007.

Guest Lecture:

 1.   Delivered a Guest lecture on common literary forms in Urdu in 2 day orientation programme on “Competencies and literary forms in Urdu for class VI and VII”. Organized by Govt. Institute of Advance Study in Education, Hyderabad from 15th – 16th March 2007.
