About Us

Although MANUU is Central University, it has within its ambit some of the oldest and prestigious schools of higher learning. It is the first institute in India to start computer science education in Urdu medium. The institute has been conceived with the ambitious objective of structuring the students with Urdu medium as professional expertise and skilled man power in information Technology (IT) and related areas. This will enable the country to exploit efficiently emerging opportunities, and meet economics challenges being thrown up by the rapid global IT revolution, which is influencing virtually every area of development and social activity. The establishment of CS & IT Department is a major step towards strengthening the indigenous capability necessary for exploiting profitably and harnessing multi-dimensional facets of IT at all levels, and attaining expertise to enable the country to emerge as leading player in the global area. The 200 acre campus, situated at Gachi Bowli, Hyderabad , designed meticulously on the Penrose geometry pattern, is being furthered topped with Multinational Companies, Indian School of Business, Hi-Tech City, Outer Ring Road etc.. The campus is envisaged to be fully residential one, with all its faculty, staff and students housed in different pockets. All academic and residential areas are connected to the Institute's network. The institute drew upon some of the best young talented faculty in Computer Science and initiated independent PGDIT program in 2006 and next programm started in 2011.

The Department admits about 40 students every year in the MCA program, it has state of art infrastructure and computing equipment supported by high speed Ethernet & wireless network for the benefit of its members. Our faculty aims at delivering top class education blending their rich research experience in classroom.

The department has plans to start various UG & PG courses in Computer Science & Information Technology during 11^th plan. The proposal of the same is already submitted. The students are divided in groups for personal counseling and each group is assigned to a faculty (Counselor) to look after the grievances of the students and sort out various issues of the students. This counseling has boosted the self and academic excellence of the students. The scholarship committee, to grant Full Free-ship and Half Free-ship, in its meeting resolved that one Full Free-ship and four Half Free-ships be allotted to students based on merit and attendance in 1^stsemester examinations... Faculty members are encouraged to improve their personnel skills by facilitating them to attend "Orientation Program / Refreshing Courses/Seminars/Work Shops" further; the department guides the faculty on concentrating about research activities, which has resulted in the publications of papers in various conferences. The department has also guided students in presenting papers in national conferences on Information Technology.
