Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  1. Candidates, who have completed 10+2/ Intermediate from a recognized Board of the State/ Central Government can apply directly for admission to the U.G programme without appearing for the Eligibility Test. Apart from this, all candidates who hold equivalent degree from the list of recognized educational institutions printed in this Programme Guide are also eligible for direct admission.
  2. The Eligibility Test is meant for those candidates who are desirous of applying for the degree programme of the University but have not completed their 10+2. This is for those who have studied only up to 10th class, or have not studied at all. Apart from these, all candidates who hold a certificate from any educational institution, other than those specified in the prospectus (Madrasas & their Equivalency List) will have to appear for the Eligibility Test. If they qualify the E.T., they will submit the Admission Form and the fee for the U.G.(B.A & B.Com) Programme.
  3. As per the UGC guidelines, a candidate cannot be enrolled for more than one P.G/U.G programmes simultaneously of this or any other university. However, a candidate may be enrolled in a P.G/U.G. and a Certificate programme simultaneously. In such case, the University will not be responsible if there is a clash in the dates of counselling or examinations of these courses.
  4. The candidate has to choose his/ her study centre where he / she can attend counseling sessions and also appear for the Term-End Exams. Please mention clearly the name of Study Centre in your Application Form for Admission from the list of Study Centres provided in the Programme Guide. In case the candidate does not do so, the University will allot the Study Centre nearest to his/her residence.
  5. Candidates must ensure that their Application Form reaches the University within the prescribed date. Please ensure that your application is complete in all respects. Incomplete, illegible Application Forms or those received after the last date shall be summarily rejected and the fees shall not be refunded. The University shall entertain no correspondence in this regard.
  6. The University arranges the counselling classes for any subject when there is a minimum of 15 students enrolled in that subject at a Study Centre for that year. If the number is below 15 for a subject in a Study Centre, then counselling will not be arranged for that subject. Also, in cases where there are 15 or more students enrolled in a particular subject at a study centre but the attendance at counselling is below 10 for three consecutive counselling sessions, the University reserves the right to cancel counselling for that subject at that study centre.
  7. In case, the I - Card has not been received, the student is advised to send a stamp size photograph along with a crossed D.D. of Rs. 50/- in favour of concerned Regional Centre payable at Regional Centre concerned alongwith a requisition for issue of duplicate I-Card to the Regional Centre concerned of the University. A duplicate I-card shall be dispatched to him/ her by post. In cases where the name or photograph are incorrect, the candidate may return the I - Card in original. The Regional Centre shall verify the facts as per records and return the corrected I - Card to the student by post.
  8. In case, you receive the books for subjects you have not opted then you may write to Director, Directorate of Distance Education, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Gachibowli, Hyderabad - 500 032 informing of the same. The University will verify from its records and take action accordingly. Students are advised to use the Application Form enclosed with it.
  9. In case, the Self Learning Material (SLM) has not been received, the candidate is required to check with the post office. The University is not responsible for postal loss or delay. The candidate will inform the Director, Directorate of Distance Education, MANUU, Gachibowli, Hyderabad - 500032. A.P. in writing by giving details of enrolment number, course and the books required.
  10. The Assignments are compulsory part of your evaluation. There are two assignments per subject/per paper and all are compulsory. They have to be submitted within the due dates indicated. Non-submission of even one will lead you being failed in the subject concerned.
  11. In case, the assignment(s) set sent to you is not of the programme you have chosen then you may contact the concerned Coordinator with your enrolment number, programme and group of optional subjects and take the xerox copy of assignments. You may also download it from University website www.manuu.ac.in.
  12. In case, you have submitted the assignments but the marks are not mentioned in your mark sheet you may contact the Coordinator of your study centre. In case counselling of any subject has not been arranged then the assignments of that subject have to be submitted to the concerned Regional Centre . The assignments submission receipt is essential for any dispute regarding submission of assignments.
  13. Attendance of the counseling session is not compulsory. However, the students are advised to attend the same in their best interests so that they can approach their counselor with their doubts and benefit from the clarification.
  14. A student can change his/her Study Centre once during the period of registration. However, he/she may opt for change of Exam Centre also. The requisition for this must be submitted along with the Examination Form.
  15. The Migration and Bonafide Certificate will be issued for a Demand Draft (for Rs.100/- for P. G. and U.G. Rs. 100/- for Undergraduate) alongwith a copy of Provisional certificate on request of the candidate in writing addressed to The Director, DDE, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Gachibowli, Hyderabad - 500032. The D.D. has to be drawn on any nationalised bank in favour of MAULANA AZAD NATIONAL URDU UNIVERSITY, payable at HYDERABAD
  16. In case, you do not receive your Marks Memo for the year- ending exam, kindly write to the Controller of Examinations, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Gachibowli, Hyderabad - 500 032 requesting him for a copy of the same.
